Studio Matter was founded in 2014 by Justin Rigby and Bonnie Choi.
In addition to our own original films, we create and produce commercial video content for our clients’ marketing campaigns promoting their identities, brands, products, and collections.
Over 11 years as a full-service production house, we have created and produced hundreds of films for various brands and clients, including P&G, Sephora, Fenty Beauty, Jack Nicklaus, Samsung, Kohler, ASPCA, Caudalie, Verb Hair Care, Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare, Dr. Brandt Skincare, LAGOS, Pause Well Aging, and Zazen Bear.
We work with skilled film crew, renowned photographers, and talented collaborators, artists, and models who are active in the film and photo industry in New York and Los Angeles. Our productions have taken place at numerous locations including the MTA New York City subway, Grand Central Terminal, Luna Park in Coney Island, the New York Botanical Garden, Shofuso Cultural Center in Philadelphia, private beaches in Florida, and brownstones in Soho as well as numerous studio productions throughout New York City.

JUSTIN RIGBY | CREATIVE DIRECTOR | FILMMAKERJustin Rigby is a filmmaker who has been creating and producing original film and video content for over 20 years.
Rigby founded Studio Matter in 2014 in New York with producer Bonnie Choi to pursue several film projects. As the Creative Director | Filmmaker of Studio Matter, he has directed, written, and edited numerous brand films and digital marketing content in addition to continuing to develop original narrative film projects.
Rigby studied film theory and production at the University of Notre Dame, where he graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Film, Television, and Theater in 2005.
BONNIE CHOI | HEAD PRODUCERBonnie Choi is a film producer in New York City. She has been developing and producing original films and commercial content for over 15 years. She has coordinated and executed all logistics and on-site management for Studio Matter.
She began producing and writing films during her time in college and moved to New York to further pursue film production. She produced the feature film, Either | Or, which was written and directed by Justin Rigby which had its premiere in New York City. She continues to develop and produce various narrative film projects and commercial content.
